What Has Changed?

We currently provide overdraft protection for your account (if eligible). If you spend or withdraw more money than is in your account, we can choose to pay the overdrawn item for you. We may charge a fee for this service.

Under the new Federal Reserve regulation, you may now tell us not to cover electronic transactions that are created using your debit card and that overdraft your account (This includes ATM, one-time debit, online, and telephone transactions).

What if I Keep My Overdraft Protection?

Nothing will change. We will continue to pay your overdrawn account at our discretion. Each time, we charge a fee.

Currently, we charge a fee of up to $30 each time we cover a charge that overdraws your account.

What if I Opt Out of the electronic transactions Overdraft Protection?

While opting out of electronic transactions overdraft protection may cause you to have less overdraft fees, these transactions will most likely be denied and you will be responsible for any overdrawn items. If you opt out of electronic overdraft protection, we may still cover overdraft items that result from checks and other transactions.

If you have received a notice in the mail about this change, and you want to opt in to the electronic transactions overdraft protection, you can use the response code that was provided in the notice and click here  . If you have not received a notice or you want to find out more information, please call or visit your nearest branch.
